Why Your TV Shows the Demo Playlist (and How to Fix It)

4 min read

You open the app and see a short list of sample channels rather than your own. This is the demo playlist, and it is what the player falls back to when it has nothing of yours to show.

It nearly always comes down to one of three things. Work through them in order — the first two take under a minute to check.

Cause 1 — The TV is not linked to your account

A television that has not been paired has no account to pull a playlist from, so it shows the demo list. This is the most common cause by far, especially if the app is asking you for a six-digit code, or showing a new code every time you open it.

  1. 1Open the app on the TV and note the six-digit code.
  2. 2On your phone or computer, sign in at 67iptv.com and go to 67iptv.com/activate.
  3. 3Enter the code and confirm.

Tip: If the TV shows a different code each time you open the app, update the app from the LG Content Store first. Older versions did not always remember the pairing between launches; current versions do.

Cause 2 — No playlist saved on your account

Pairing links the television to your account, but if that account has no playlist there is still nothing to send. Open Dashboard → Playlists on the website and check whether a playlist is listed.

If it is empty, add yours: choose Add, pick the M3U or Xtream tab depending on what your provider gave you, paste the details, and save. Then reopen the app on the TV.

Cause 3 — The playlist is saved but will not load

If the TV is paired and a playlist is saved but you still see the demo list, the player is likely unable to fetch that source. That points at the link or the service behind it rather than at the app.

Check the usual suspects: the link was copied incompletely, the subscription behind it has lapsed, the provider changed the address, or you have exceeded the number of simultaneous connections your provider allows. Re-copy the details from your provider and save them again.

Tip: Because 67IPTV is a player, it has no visibility into or control over your playlist source. If the details are correct and it still will not load, the people who supply the playlist are the ones who can check it.

Still stuck?

Confirm the television is the one linked to your account under Dashboard → Devices, and that a playlist is assigned to it. Closing and reopening the app on the TV forces a refresh — you do not need a new activation code for that.

If none of this helps, contact [email protected] with the email on your account and roughly when the problem started, and we will look at the pairing from our side.

Common questions

Does the demo playlist mean my subscription expired?

Not necessarily. The demo list appears whenever the player has no playlist of yours to display — most often because the TV is not paired or no playlist is saved. It is not by itself a billing indication.

Do I need a new activation code every time?

No. Pairing is remembered. Being asked for a new code on each launch indicates an outdated app version — update it from the LG Content Store.

Can 67IPTV fix a playlist that will not load?

No. 67IPTV plays the playlist you supply and has no access to, or control over, the service that hosts it. If the source is unreachable, only your provider can resolve that.
